- The aims of Newchurch Village Community Association are:

- Working towards improving the village and surrounding areas of Newchurch for the mutual benefit of the whole community.
- To promote the village of Newchurch, its activities and its events, and to coordinate activities and events.
- The group will not discriminate on the rounds of gender, race, colour, ethnic or national origin, sexuality, disability, religious or political belief, marital status or age.
- The group will take appropriate measures to ensure all members of the community can partake in all activities and meetings.

- 1. Name The name of the group shall be “Newchurch Village Community Association”
- 2. The aims of Newchurch Village Community Association are:
- Working towards improving the village and surrounding areas of Newchurch for the mutual benefit of the whole community.
- To promote the village of Newchurch, its activities and its events, and to coordinate activities and events.
- 3. Membership
- 3.1 Membership is open to anyone aged 18 or over, regardless of race, creed, gender,ability, political belief or religion.
- 3.2 Membership is focussed on the community of Newchurch Village and surrounding areas but is extended to include anyone who supports the aims of the group.
- 3.3 Fees are to be charged to members at two rates:
- Full Membership (giving members the opportunity to vote at meetings).
- Associate Members (does not entitle a vote at meetings).
- These subscription rates will be reviewed annually at the AGM for the following subscription year (year to 31 December).
- New members joining after the 1st October their first subscription will be from joining to the 31st December in the following year.
- 3.4 Membership will end:
- If members have not paid their fees within 3 months of fees becoming due.
- If members act in a way that goes against the aims of the group or brings the group into disrepute.
- Removal of Membership must be made by the committee in a formal committee meeting with a specific item on the agenda concerning membership removal.
- 4. Equal Opportunities

The group will take appropriate measures to ensure all members of the community can partake in all activities and meetings.
- 5. Committee and Officers
- The main Committee Positions will be:
- Chair – who shall chair all meetings.
- Deputy Chair – who shall be responsible for chairing meetings when the Chair is unavailable.
- Secretary – who shall be responsible for taking minutes and distribution and retention of papers.
- Treasurer – who shall maintain accounts and give financial updates at meetings.
- Membership Secretary – who shall keep records of all members and be responsible for collecting member’s fees.
- Fundraiser – who shall be responsible for sourcing and applying for funding, monitoring projects, project reporting and claims.
