2. Community Garden

A huge thank you to those people who have helped to maintain the garden over the last couple of months. Now that the summer months are upon us a more concerted effort is required. It was agreed that as well as ‘lone gardening’ members would meet in the garden an hour prior to the monthly meetings as a working party.
Benches – an application has been made to Rossendale Lions for a contribution towards purchasing benches.
We have had an offer of support from Rossendale School to help maintain the garden. It was agreed that the next ‘large job’ would be to reduce the rhododendrons and tidy up the bottom half of the garden.

3. Staghills Play Area

Councillor Marriott has sent a message to say that he has raised the issue with regards to the outstanding permission letter and that it should be received soon.

4. Dark Lane

The present state of this area continues to be a concern to residents and despite the promise from Councillor Barnes to pressure the landowners to clear fly-tipped waste and improve safety at the site nothing has happened. Flag again to councillors for next steps support?
